SORICE is a neat blend of horror visuals that caps off with a sci-fi element, a proof of concept sci-fi noir. Dutch Director Angelo White’s horror sci-fi concept follows a young woman that is unable to escape from something that lives within. She must learn to control her fears, only to reveal her past and to discover a powerful future.
Sorice is the first short film by Angelo White, who made the transition from visual effects artist to directing. He is known for his work on The Hobbit Trilogy, Dawn of The Planet of the Apes, Jungle Book, BFG and many more. White’s background in VFX served him well in making an impressive short on a tight budget, and he crafted the film with the express purpose of showcasing his ideas for how the story could work as a feature film. White’s effort has already paid off. The early teaser of SORICE received significant interest from Hollywood, which led to a number of meetings with representatives and producers. White signed a contract management outfit Voyage, and is now busy at work expanding the short into a feature film, which will serve as White’s directorial feature debut.
